Man accused of sexually assaulting girlfriend's son

HOUSTON

Charles Alvin Hogan, 23, is charged with aggravated sexual assault of a child under 14. According to court documents, the boy came forward in October 2009 saying that Hogan had sexually assaulted him twice in the period of time between December 2008 and September 2009, when he was nine years old.

Court documents state that Hogan, whose nickname is 'Popeye,' was the boyfriend of the boy's mother at the time. The boy told authorities that he was sleeping in their apartment during the first incident when Hogan came into his bedroom and sexually assaulted him.

Hogan's bond has been set for $30,000.
