The ex-chairman of the Victoria County Democratic Party was arrested last August at his law office. Jabbour in January pleaded guilty to possession and receiving child pornography via the Internet in a case going back to 2008.
Jabbour was sentenced to just over 14 years for receipt of child pornography and 10 years for possession. The sentences will run concurrently.
Defense attorney John Floyd III told the Victoria Advocate that he's disappointed with the sentence and had sought less time for his client. Floyd is considering whether to appeal.
