Two Houston police officers were not seriously hurt when an alleged red light runner slammed into their patrol car. The police cruiser was banged up in the collision at Scott and the South Loop about 3:30am. Investigators say a man driving an SUV ran the red light and ran into the cop car, tearing off the bumper.

The driver of the SUV was taken into custody for possible traffic violations. His two female passengers were transported to the hospital to be checked out.
