Man accused of trying to sexually assault two kids
HOUSTON
Jose Zerate is charged with two counts of attempted aggravated sexual assault of a child. Prosecutors say he befriended a woman on a website, then attempted to make arrangements for a sexual encounter with her two children -- ages 5 and 6.
The mother contacted police, and officers set up a sting. Zerate, 38, was arrested Monday at a local motel. He's being held on $80,000 bond. There is also an immigration hold on Zerate.
