Japan PM apologizes for damage from nuclear plant

Japan's prime minister has apologized to farmers and business owners affected by the crippled nuclear power plant that is emitting radiation after being damaged by an earthquake and tsunami two weeks ago. T In a televised address Friday evening, Naoto Kan also thanked the utility workers, firefighters and military personnel for "risking their lives" in efforts to desperately trying to cool the overheated reators at the Fukushima Dai-ichi nuclear power plant.

Radiation from the plant has been found in vegetables and water.
