Man accused of throwing transmission fluid on baby

HOUSTON The incident happened on January 7 in the 800 block of Marleen in southeast Houston.

A woman was babysitting her eight-month-old granddaughter when a neighbor reportedly came to the door looking for his missing iPod, according to court documents. She told authorities her daughter-in-law had answered the door and told the neighbor they didn't have the iPod. At that point he got upset, grabbed a five-gallon bucket of transmission fluid from outside, threw it through the open front door and ran from the scene.

The transmission fluid hit the baby, who was sitting in a car seat near the front door, causing chemical irritation to her face.

Isau Aleman, Jr., 18, face a felony charge of injury to a child. Bail has been set at $10,000.
