Texans' Foster, Leach named AP All Pros
HOUSTON
They're both in Hawaii this week for the Pro Bowl, which is more of a paid vacation than a game, and on Monday both Texans back were named to the AP All Pro first team.
Foster was the top running back in the NFL this season with 1,616 yards rushing and 2,220 yards from scrimmage. He had 16 rushing touchdowns and two touchdowns on receptions. This was only his second season in the league, but his first as a full time player. He's only the third player in the history of the NFL to have at least 1,600 yards rushing and 600 receiving yards in the same season.
For Leach, this is a big deal and it should be. It's hard for a fullback who mainly blocks to be recognized, but he opened up many of the holes that Foster glided through. Leach is one of the vocal leaders on the team. He caught eight passes and made eight tackles on special teams, but he is a punishing blocker.
It's interesting to note that the two Texans first team all pros were both undrafted.
