Texas ambulance co. owner gets prison for fraud
DALLAS, TX
Prosecutors say 50-year-old Muhammed Nasiru Usman of Arlington
owned and operated Royal Ambulance Service Inc. and First Choice
EMS Inc.
A federal judge in Dallas on Wednesday sentenced Usman to prison
and also ordered him to pay more than $1.3 million in restitution
in a case related to transport of dialysis patients.
Usman in May was convicted of conspiracy to commit health care
fraud, 12 counts of health care fraud and one count of money
laundering.
