'Big O' remains on the lam after deadly shooting

HOUSTON On Saturday, September 19, 2009 at around 5:30am, Traveon Brown received a phone call from Tommy Jacobs, also known as "G-Town." Jacobs wanted to know if he could come over to Traveon's apartment. Officials say he arrived at the apartment with Broderick Batiste, also known as "Big O." Once inside, Batiste pulled out a gun and demanded money from Traveon. Police say Batiste then shot Traveon, who died as a result of his injuries. After the shooting, Broderick Batiste and Tommy Jacobs fled to the Texas City/Galveston area where they live. Tommy Jacobs has since been arrested.

On September 22 a warrant was issued for Broderick Batiste's arrest. At this time, Batiste is only charged with aggravated assault. It is believed he might be in the Texas City or Galveston area.

Batiste is a 30-year-old black male. He is 5'9" tall and weighs 260 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
