Thousands still without electricity in DFW

DALLAS, TX Oncor Electric Delivery on Saturday reported about 150,000 homes and businesses in north Texas still without power.

Utility crews were working throughout the weekend to restore electricity. The federal President's Day holiday is Monday.

Oncor says crews by Saturday morning had restored power to about 50,000 customers since a powerful winter storm, which rolled in Thursday, dumped a record 12.5 inches of snow.

Fort Worth-based American Airlines, which Friday canceled about 400 flights systemwide due to weather, was mostly back on schedule Saturday.

American spokeswoman Missy Latham told The Associated Press that just four flights were canceled Saturday at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport due to weather.
