"Kids eat free" means you save big!

HOUSTON Did you know that there are many "kids eat free" meals at restaurants around Houston? In this struggling economy, many locations are trying to lure in parents with special discount prices.

That's the case at I-Hop. Every weekend until September 13, if you dine-in between the hours of 4 p.m. and 11 p.m., kids eat free with the purchase of one adult meal. The drink is not included.

Firehouse Subs has locations all over the Houston area and kids eat free on Sundays. Customers receive one free kids' meal with the purchase of any adult sub.

At Sam's Boat, kids eat free both Saturday and Sunday from the hours of 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. For each adult meal purchase, customers receive two free kids' meals.

Over at Texas Land and Cattle Steak House, every Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. kids 12 and under eat for free with the purchase of an adult meal.

If you are looking for a great deal on dining out, check out restaurant.com -- you can find your next meal up to 90 percent off! It works like this: you pick a restaurant, and then you purchase a gift certificate. The gift certificates are purchased for a fraction of the value. The idea is for restaurant owners to bring in new business.

Don't forget that the tax and the tip are not included, and be sure to call ahead for other restrictions.
