Wild police chase ends in crash

HOUSTON It happened about 1am at the La Jolla Apartments on Ella near West Richey. Police say the driver of a Ford Mustang ran a red light, and almost collided with a METRO bus on Aldine Bender. When an officer tried to pull the driver over, he sped off and then started circling an apartment complex.

Eventually, the suspect was pinned in and rammed into a squad car. The police officer in the car was not hurt.

The suspect, who is said to be a known drug dealer, was arrested as he tried to run away.
