Tornado touches down near school

SEABROOK, TX The National Weather Service reports a small tornado occurred near the Seabrook Intermediate School shortly after 2pm. According to Clear Creek ISD officials, students were brought into the main building from portable buildings and kept away from windows while the storm cell passed over.

"Inside you saw a lot of wind. You can see the damage," said Robert Bass of Seabrook Intermediate School. "My car got blown out. Everybody started running around saying, 'Get the kids in.' They handled it really well, though. They got the kids in real quick. Nobody got hurt, just a little bit of weather."

No students were injured. There was no damage to the building, but the windows of five vehicles were blown out, and a large branch fell on another car. Students were released at the normal time.
