Fast food robbery ends in murder

Around 11:45pm, a man walked into a Popeye's off FM 529 near Shining Shumac. The fast food restaurant was closed at the time.

The man reportedly locked two employees in a freezer and had the night manager open the safe. The suspect shot and killed the night manager, and then took off in a green four door car, possibly a Toyota Camry. He is described as a heavy set black male, approximately 6 feet tall, with close cut or shaved hair, wearing a dark colored suit, blue shirt, no tie.

Harris County Sheriff's detectives are investigating. Anyone with information regarding this robbery / murder is asked to contact the Harris County Sheriff's Office Homicide Unit at 713-967-5810 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
