Where can your kids eat for free?

HOUSTON But if you know where to go, you can get your kids meals for free. All across Houston, there are dozens of 'kids eat free' places. Every day of the week, you can hit up a new restaurant. As one local mom's group found out, it's helping them stretch their dollar.

Holly Inderrieden knows how to pinch pennies. Her group, the Plaza Moms, has compiled a kids eat free list.

"One of my favorite places for the kids eat free is Berryhill," said Inderrieden.

At Berryhill Baja Grill, kids under twelve years old eat free every Tuesday. With the purchase of one adult meal, you get two free kids meals. Chicken fingers, quesadillas, fish and enchilada's are on the menu.

"This is a way that they can bring all of their family out, enjoy sitting down, having dinner together at a reasonable price," said Trisha Stewart with Berryhill.

Over at Texas Land and Cattle steak house, every Saturday from 11am to 4pm, kids 12 and under eat free. It's something thrifty moms are going to take advantage of.

"It's getting tougher and tougher, and if we want to go out to eat, to take a whole family out to eat is expensive," said parent Katherine Maxey.

Maxey says the kids fare is impressive ranging from grilled chicken to a beef patty and broccoli.

At Double Dave's Pizza...

Monday through Sunday from 11am to 2pm and Monday, Wednesday, Sunday nights from 5pm to 9pm, kids five and under eat free with the accompany of an adult," said Blake Austin with Double Dave's.

That's all-you-can-eat pizza for the little ones every single day for lunch, and three nights a week for dinner. Lori Araica had no idea.

"Well, now that I know that they're eating free every day, I'm going to bring them more often," she said.

Over at Denny's, every Tuesday and Saturday from 4pm to 10pm, kids under ten years old eat free with the purchase of an adult meal.

"Recently with the economic situation, we have a lot of kids come into our restaurants," said restaurant manager Ahmad Alali.

Alali says in order to bring more customers in, he is looking to expand his kids eat free to an everyday event.

For the Plaza Moms, it's just another way to save money.
