HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- ABC News’ Becky Worley is visiting iconic diners across America this week on "Good Morning America". So far, she has been to California and Wisconsin, and now she's heading to Houston on Wednesday.

Worley is visiting Agnes and Sherman, a self-described "Modern Asian American Diner" located in the heart of the Houston Heights on 19th Street.

The restaurant's website describes how they're named after Executive Chef Nick Wong's parents: Agnes, who came to the U.S. from Hong Kong, and Sherman, who was born and raised in San Francisco.

On the website, Wong explains how the restaurant is a mix of a classic diner with Asian American cuisine, reflecting Houston's own iconic multiculturalism.

In March, ABC13 reported that Agnes and Sherman was named as a finalist for Best New Restaurant at the 2026 James Beard Awards, which recognizes talent and achievement in the culinary arts.

You can watch Becky Worley's visit to Agnes and Sherman on "Good Morning America" on Wednesday, starting at 7 a.m. on ABC13.
