Big rig accident causes mess along S. Loop

It took more than seven hours to clear up a big rig accident that caused a mess along the South Loop.In fact, clearing the aftermath of a semi wreck took until 1am. An 18-wheeler overturned around 5:30pm Tuesday at the height of evening rush hour. It spilled its load of boxes, filled with 20,000 pounds of tobacco.

Crews spent all night hauling away the tobacco. The South Loop westbound exit to Braeswood is now reopened.
