West U council passes cell phone ban

WEST UNIVERSITY, TX The ban covers the use of all cell phones, including headsets and hands free calling in moving vehicles in the three blocks around West U Elementary School. The ban starts august first and is only in effect during posted school zone hours.

First offenders can be fined up to $200.
