A&M women's hoops boasts Houston talent

HOUSTON Big 12 Tournament MVP Takia Sparks is a graduate of Westfield High in Spring. Her teammates include Patrice Reado (Madison), LaToya Micheau (Fort Bend Hightower), Demetria Buchanan (Jones), and Sydney Colson (Westside).

The Aggies will face No. 15 UT-San Antonio in the first round on Saturday at 11am in Baton Rouge, La. A&M, fresh off winning the Big 12 tournament championship, have won nine in a row and 13 of their last 14 games.
