Having a couple of drinks this holiday weekend? A recent study suggests that drinking could be good for your health.
But any more than a couple could have the opposite effect.
A review of studies, published in BMC Medicine, found that people who had one or two alcoholic drinks a day reduced their risk of a stroke by eight percent, but people who more to drink had an increased risk of stroke.
The risk for those who had more than four drinks a day jumped by 14 percent.
What about those that don't drink at all?
"Non-drinkers should not start to drink as a health measure," the lead author of the review said.
