HOUSTON (KTRK) -- If you go to the Galleria this weekend, you may see a man in line for shoes that don't go on sale until Sunday.
Joshua Alvarez set up camp Wednesday morning. He wanted to be first in line for the Air Jordan Retro 11 Legend Blues.
Alvarez says the shoes are a surprise for his 14-year-old brother.
Their father died last year. Alvarez said, "Right now, I'm stepping up for my mom and him. We don't have much so, I got a good job now so I can buy him the shoes he wants. So that's what I'm doing now. I'm just kind of stepping up for him."
Alvarez has a friend with him to hold his spot when he needs to go to the bathroom or get food. He says he only eats once a day.
