HOUSTON (KTRK) -- With a new coach and new quarterback, many people considered this a rebuilding year for the Houston Texans, not giving them much of a chance to make the postseason.
But after yesterday's win over Baltimore and Buffalo's loss to Oakland, the playoffs are more likely than you may think for the Texans. Three things have to happen for Houston to keep playing after next Sunday.
First, Houston (8-7) has to take care of their own business. They must beat the 3-12 Jacksonville Jaguars at NRG.
Then they need a little help. The Chiefs (8-7) have to beat San Diego (9-6) in Kansas City and the Browns (7-8) must beat the Ravens in Baltimore(9-6).
If those three things happen next weekend, the Texans get in as a wild card.
