Recreational boats banned from flooded Brazoria Co. waterways
The county judge says fears of more damage led to the recreational boat ban in Brazoria County.

BRAZORIA COUNTY, Texas (KTRK) -- Effectively immediately, recreational boating is now banned on swollen waterways in Brazoria County.

County Judge L.M. Sebesta, Jr., says concerns about additional damage to real and personal property led him to order recreational boats off the Brazos River, San Bernard River, Oyster Creek and Bastrop Bayou.

Sebesta said the order should remain in effect until the declaration of disaster ends, or until ordered by his office.
