Black Insomnia could be the strongest coffee in the world
A coffee that claims to be the world's strongest is now available for purchase in the United States.

CAPE TOWN, South Africa (KTRK) -- If your morning cup of Pike Place Roast isn't getting the job done, Black Insomnia coffee could be your key to an energized day.

The South African coffee claims to be the world's strongest, packing a whopping 700 milligrams of caffeine per 12-ounce serving, which makes it four times stronger than the average cup of coffee.

But is it safe? According to the Mayo Clinic, a six-ounce serving of Black Insomnia fulfills the average adult's maximum recommended caffeine intake for a single day.

On its website, Black Insomnia touts its caffeine level as "dangerous."

The brew, which is produced by a South African company, is now available for purchase in the United States through the company's website. It will soon be available on Amazon.
