HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) -- Police have yet to identify any suspects after a woman was gunned down inside a southwest Houston liquor store on Tuesday.

Tikisha King, 29, was a manager at Ralston Discount Liquor on South Post Oak near West Fuqua, according to family and friends.

Investigators say another employee arrived at the business around 12:45 p.m. and found King's body riddled with bullet wounds.

"She was a hard worker. She had goals," King's friend said.

The friend, who did not want her name used, said she's known King since elementary school and even helped her get the job at the liquor store almost two years ago.

"She took so many secrets to the grave. I used to tell her all my business, so she was my secret holder," the friend said.

Customers said King was well-liked and couldn't imagine who would want to harm her.

"That's senseless," one man said.

"She don't have no kind of enemies. No nothing. Nobody's going to harm her. She don't have that type of problems," King's friend said.

But the friend said King had recently broken up with her boyfriend and she's not sure how he took the news.

"She didn't want to be with him. She had someone else she was with, so she didn't want to be with him. She just told him she didn't want to be in a relationship with him," she said.

Police couldn't confirm if King's killer was someone close to her.

"We're still investigating all possibilities," Officer Robyn Barcak said.

At the time of King's death, friends say she was still mourning the death of an ex-boyfriend.

He died in another shooting three years ago.

"She was still taking it hard," Bradley said.
