HARRIS COUNTY (KTRK) -- The Harris County Sheriff's Office is looking for a man caught on video running over a woman with his car and then leaving her bloodied on the side of the road.

The video was shot Thursday evening through three lanes of traffic on FM 1960 near Perry Rd, but there is no mistaking what's going on. It is a fight that becomes so violent that it's hard to watch. The most disturbing part is when the man runs over his female passenger.

The viewer who recorded the assault said the fighting started much earlier inside the car as they were driving down FM 1960, swerving and hitting each other the entire time. The man, who was driving, pulled into a business parking lot where the violence escalated. The video shows him pulling her from the car. They struggle. He then grabs a bag and jumps back in. What happens next is unbelievable. He rolls right over her.

Family members identify the victim as 29-year-old Ashley Motl of Katy. She remains in critical condition in the hospital. Investigators are still looking for the person responsible. Motl has been able to describe him as only an "old friend" whose name is either Brian or Ryan.

Her father tells Eyewitness News he needs to be arrested because "she could have been killed."

After he ran over her, the man dragged her out from underneath the car and took off. He is described as white, wearing a white tank top and tan shorts. The car is a silver or dark gray Honda Accord.

Anyone with information is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
