A shirtless burglar walked out of a home he pillaged wearing a stolen shirt.

HOUSTON (KTRK) -- A burglar came shirtless to his victim's home near the Heights and left weighted down with all the property he stole.

The man struck Saturday morning around 8:45. The family's camera surveillance system recorded the thief. It shows him ringing the door bell and trying to open to the front door. He loiters on the steps, perhaps building up confidence, until he breaks in through a side door. Then for two hours, he went to work.

"The creep factor is higher that he spent that much time," said Greg Roche, the homeowner.

Police need your help in finding a group of thieves who burglarized a Lake Houston home this weekend.

Roche came home to find his family had been victimized. The home was ransacked. Small electronics, jewelry, cash and even perfume had been stolen and, when Roche watched the video, he saw an added insult.

"I was like, 'What's he wearing?' And then I noticed he took a few things from my closet," Roche said.

The thief left with Roche's shirt and cap along with two duffel bags, a backpack and a rolling suitcase. They were all full, and then he walked away down Beauchamp, in Woodland Heights, without anyone noticing a thing.

Roche says the burglar has rattled his wife and children. They want him caught and also want to warn other homeowners about this patient and bold burglar who could strike again.

"It's such a shame."

Anyone with information about the burglar is urged to contact Crime Stoppers or Houston police.
