If Roger Staubach were on the clock with the No. 1 pick in this year's NFL draft, there's no doubt in his mind that he'd take quarterback Johnny Manziel over defensive end Jadeveon Clowney.

The Pro Football Hall of Famer, who was taken as a 10th-round future pick in the 1964 draft out of Navy by the Dallas Cowboys, thinks Manziel will have the same impact as a certain Super Bowl-winning quarterback.

"I think Manziel is a Russell Wilson-type player," Staubach said Wednesday on NFL Network. "He doesn't have the height, [but] he has a strong arm and he throws with accuracy."

"I just think there's something about this kid -- the quickness," he added. "Today in the league, the quarterbacks can fly; we weren't allowed to do that. I think Manziel is going to be a valuable player in the NFL."

The Houston Texans have the top pick in the draft, which will be May 8-10 in New York City.
