Robbers hit bank in north Harris County; may be second in 24 hours

HOUSTON

Harris County authorities say around 2pm, three masked suspects with pistols walked into the bank on Veterans Memorial near Antoine and robbed a handful of employees and at least six customers. Kids were inside the bank at the time.

One of the employees was "struck" by one of the suspects and transported to Methodist Willowbrook Hospital. Authorities did not specify the method by which the employee was "struck," but they used "aggressive tactics."

The suspects fled in a white van with cash and other items from the customers, but no money was taken from the bank itself.

Deputies say this bank has been robbed before, and it has bullet proof glass windows.

Detectives believe the suspects may have been involved in another robbery just yesterday about three miles away on FM 1960. Authorities say in that robbery, three masked suspects with a similar MO walked into a bank and fired shots.

The suspects in both robberies has similar MOs.

Authorities with the FBI are still reviewing surveillance video.
