It's the start of National Crime Victims Rights Week, and Harris County District Attorney's Office is taking part.

On Monday, the office's victim-witness division will hold an event called Shoes Without Souls. That's where employees will put shoes on display to symbolize the walk crime victims have to take through the criminal justice system.

In addition, representatives from nine local agencies will be on hand to answer questions.

The event begins at 11am and ends at 2pm.
