Houston police released the video today. Police say the video is from March 27 and shows suspects, described only as three Hispanic males and two Hispanic females, entering the Lucky Star Game Room, where they begin to play slot machines.
Police say that's when one of the males attacked Reuben Portillo, a security guard. As the two struggled over Portillo's weapon, a second male suspect joined in the attack. During the struggle, Portillo was shot.
Investigators say the men then robbed patrons inside the game room before all five suspects fled in a silver two-door Honda Accord and red Nissan Sentra with tinted windows and a rear spoiler.
Portillo died at the hospital.
