Authorities say Donald Van Arsdale, 48, made off with $2,000 from the Hudson Savings Bank in Lakewood.
But things went wrong when he got to the parking lot, after he realized he apparently left the keys to his inside.
Van Arsdale made a run for it, but police quickly caught up with him.
Police recovered a Jeep Cherokee in the parking lot and also found his keys inside the bank
He is charged with robbery, terroristic threats and resisting arrest by flight. He is also facing charges in the robbery of a TD Bank in Lakewood on February 22.
