New pet adoption tactic started by Dallas animal rescue: Muttbombing

A nonprofit adoption agency called Dallas Pets Alive is working with a marketing agency to select fun selfies from Instagram and then Photoshop in dogs that need homes, CNN reports.

The mutt-photobombing trend started getting attention when celebrities like Kim Kardashian, Miley Cyrus and Ryan Gosling were muttbombed.

Dallas Pets Alive says traffic to its website increased 700 percent the first week it started muttbombing.

They've already had 10 applications for adoptions.
