Houston woman jailed in CD player attack on girlfriend, her son

HOUSTON

It happened Saturday at a home in the 9700 block of Laura Koppe.

According to the Houston Police Department, Marnesiya Holmes was trying to prevent her girlfriend from leaving her house. As the woman was leaving, along with her children, Holmes grabbed a CD player from the trunk of the victim's car and began swinging it at the vehicle.

Police said Holmes then got into the back of her girlfriend's car and kept swinging the CD player, breaking the back window of the vehicle and hitting the victim's five-year-old son in the process.

The victim managed to drive to an HPD substation on Ley Road, but Holmes then crawled through the auto window that she'd busted out and began to choke the victim.

Holmes was arrested and charged with misdemeanor assault on a family member and felony reckless injury to a child. Bond was set at a combined total of $15,000.
