John Herod runs a Schlotzsky's. He noticed his employees weren't smiling and they were working too slowly. That's when he decided to close the store and re-educate his employees on how to clean, prepare food and talk to customers. Customers like the idea.
The sign in front of the store states the restaurant will reopen on Dec. 4, but the owner says there's more work to be done than he thought, so the opening date has actually been pushed back to Dec. 9
