Northwest Houston homeowner holds suspected burglar at gunpoint

Police arrested three suspects who they say broke into a home this morning in northwest Houston.

It happened just before 4am at a house off Springwell Drive and Timberoak.

Police say one teenager and two adult male suspects showed up at the home in a stolen white pickup truck and made their way inside. Two people were sleeping in the home at the time.

Authorities say the suspects started grabbing jewerly, power tools and bikes from the house. Police say the homeowner's dog alerted the couple.

The homeowner woke up, grabbed his gun and cornered one of the teens. The other two male suspects took off on bikes, but they didn't get very far.

Police say all three are charged with burglary.
