It happened in the 6100 block of Bellaire Boulevard near Hillcroft.
We're told the shooting victim was 16-year-old Lee High School student Edwin Rajo, who lived in the apartments.
According to Rajo's family, he was visiting a friend at her apartment. He reportedly looked out a window, and that's when someone shot him.
Rajo died at the scene.
The shooter is still at large and the case remains under investigation.
