Butterball says there's a shortage of fresh turkey this year ahead of Thanksgiving

Just ahead of Thanksgiving, America's largest producer of turkeys announced there may be a shortage of fresh birds this year.

Butterball says their turkeys failed to gain the proper weight, which has cut their supply in half. They say turkeys are not growing as fast as they use to.

But not to worry. There are still plenty of frozen turkeys ready to go for Thanksgiving tables across the country.
