It happened at an apartment complex on Charleston Park and South Main in southwest Houston last night.
Investigators say a man showed up to his ex-girlfriend's apartment and tried to kick the door open. When that didn't work, he pulled out a gun and shot the door several times. Police say someone shot him in the back of the head. His condition is not known at this time.
The ex-girlfriend jumped out of a second-story window to escape. She went to the hospital with an injury to her hand.
