Deputies were called to home on Riverview Drive Monday evening. Officials say they've determined William Francis started an argument with Gregory Oines, and which Francis then escalated to a physical fight. After punches were thrown, deputies say Francis went to another room, retrieved a shotgun, came back and shot Oines in the face.
Francis was arrested and charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He's being held at the Liberty County Jail.
Oines, 53, was flown to Memorial Hermann Hospital by LifeFlight and is being treated for the gunshot wound to the side of his head. His condition is not known.
