Member of the Houston Police Department's Community Outreach Unit, dubbed the "Blue Crew," will join volunteers today in donating their time and talents to local children returning to school.

The fifth annual "Look Good, Feel Good" event will provide free haircuts, styling, backpacks and school supplies to Houston area students.

It's happening at 1pm at: Morefield Boys and Girls Club, 5950 Selinsky; Fort Bend Boys and Girls Club, 5525 Hobby Road; YWCA of Houston, 6309 Martin Luther King Boulevard; and Star of Hope Transitional Living Center, 6801 Ardmore.

Children who are interested in the free haircut are encouraged to go to the Boys and Girls Club locations or the YWCA of Houston.

Separate from this event, another local salon is offering free haircuts for kids age five to 18 today until 5pm: Seba Salon at 3339 Fondren. No appointments are necessary, and they'll have free snacks as well.
