Authorities say the culprits behind at least nine "acid bomb" attacks in Montgomery County have been arrested.

Montgomery County deputies say three juveniles were arrested following several tips called into both the Montgomery County Fire Marshal's Office and Crime Stoppers. The trio is accused of throwing chemical and metal-filled plastic bottles on properties near the western edge of The Woodlands in the area of FM 2978 and Woodlands Parkway.

Investigators used evidence from the scene to identify where some of the materials were purchased and then tracked down surveillance video of the suspects at the stores. After the footage was released to the public, detectives received tips about the suspects' identities.

All three juveniles were expected to be referred to the County Juvenile Justice Center.

Detectives are still trying to determine whether anyone else was involved.
