A woman and her two children made it out of their burning northeast Houston home overnight.

It happened on Kittridge near Camway. Firefighters say the woman was getting ready to take a shower when she smelled smoke. She grabbed her two children and ran out the house

Firefighters knocked out the flames, which they believe started in the dryer. One firefighter had the wind knocked out of him after falling off a ladder.
