Rosenberg police find $2 million worth of heroin during traffic stop

Officials say they recovered 21 pounds of heroin, with a street value of about $2 million.

A traffic stop in Rosenberg turned into a major drug bust.

Rosenberg police say they stopped a driver for a reported traffic offense in the 27000 block of Highway 59. Upon investigation, officers located a hidden compartment in the vehicle that contained narcotics.

Officials say they recovered 21 pounds of heroin, with a street value of about $2 million.

Charges are pending against the driver, who was the only person in the vehicle.
