Man accused of taking improper photos of women at local Walmart

HOUSTON

The suspect's mother doesn't believe it, but according to court records, Gabriel Rios had the proof on him -- video from underneath the skirt of at least one unsuspecting customer

Though he's out of jail on bond, Rios never came to his front door, but his mother did. Mild-mannered and on her way out, she answered a few questions.

"He already went to jail and they let him out on bail, but I cannot say anything," she said.

It allegedly happened this past Saturday near the bakery inside Walmart at 12353 West F.M. 1960. The store manager told the responding deputy he saw Rios place his right foot under a woman's skirt.

According to court records, Rios had a video camera strapped to the tongue of his shoe. Several customers complained, officials said.

The store held Rios until the officer arrived, placed him under arrest and then took him away.

"He's a good guy," his mother said. "He never broke law."

Rios is charged with improper photography/visual recording.
