Sugar Land police searching for man who robbed food mart with shotgun

SUGAR LAND, TX

According to police, shortly before 3am, a clerk was washing the parking lot of the Chevron Food Mart 13811 Southwest Freeway when a man with a rag covering his face displayed a shotgun, forced the clerk inside the store and demanded money from the register.

The suspect left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash. The clerk was not injured and no one else was at the store.

Police say the suspect was an African-American male in his early 20s, about 5 foot 9 and had a slender build. He was wearing a sweatshirt with a red 'C,' camouflage pants and black tennis shoes with white soles and yellow shoe strings.
