Police said the two men were traveling east on Tidwell around 10pm when the driver lost control on slick roads.
The car jumped the median and hit a westbound vehicle. The woman driving the other vehicle was not hurt.
Officials said the passenger in the first car died. The driver is still alive but could face charges.
Police are investigating to see if alcohol played a role in the crash.
