It happened just before 8pm Saturday at a shoe store in the 5100 block of Avenue H.
Store employees told police a black man entered, brandished a handgun and demanded money.
The employee gave the robber an undisclosed amount of cash and he fled the scene in a silver or tan sedan with a sunroof.
The man was reportedly between 5 feet 11 inches and 6 feet tall. He was heavy-set and was wearing a gray hooded jacket, blue jeans and possibly black and white tennis shoes.
