Houston police say 24-year-old Ana Flores, who shared a home on Wiggins near Laurentide with her 29-year-old partner, called 911 around 5:45pm to report a domestic disturbance. Her partner, Belinda Espinoza, had a gun, Flores said, and they were having a fight.
By the time police arrived, it was too late.
"Prior to the police arrival to the scene, one of the residents here wound up killing and shooting the other and then shooting and killing themselves," reported Sgt. Robert Blain with the Houston Police Department.
Both neighbors and family members with whom we spoke said the two women had lived in the home together for years. Police couldn't say whether there had been prior domestic disturbances there.
Police believe Espinoza shot and killed Flores, then turned the gun on herself.
