Authorities are searching for the suspect who attempted to sabotage a dollar store's surveillance equipment after committing an aggravated robbery in late August.

On August 26, Harris County Sheriff's deputies responded to a robbery call at a dollar-style store located on the 24000 block of FM 2100 in the Huffman area. Robbery victims reported an unknown black male entered the store at approximately 10:20pm. After apparently shopping for some time, the suspect donned a red bandana, covering his face, then approached the sales counter brandishing a pistol demanding cash from the register and the safe.

Before leaving, the suspect ordered one of the victims to pour bleach into the electronic surveillance equipment in the store's office.

That same surveillance system captured video of the suspect and the robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 22-24 years of age, standing around 6 feet 2 tall and weighing approximately 170 lbs. The suspect wears his hair in braids with beads attached, and has a distinct gold front tooth. At the time of the offense the suspect wore a black baseball cap, a black and white hoodie, jeans, red tennis shoes and a red bandana covering his nose and mouth.

Anyone with information about the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477).

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for any information called in to the 713-222-TIPS (8477) or submitted online at www.crime-stoppers.org that leads to the filing of felony charges or arrest of the suspect(s) in this case.
